i think you should slow down and explore laterally, what you can do with the first picture! experiment with photoshop OR EVEn less popular image altering software. or zeroxes n collages overtop. OR PROJECTIONS.
the second is somewhat overworked! but the elements that are beautiful (color gradients) (line variety) can be retained as subtler layers, if replicated/isolated (maybe digitally?)
more fluidity you give yourself in your medium can facilitate further exploration, for sure.
